Multimodal data platform specialist Miso Information Technology (CEO Dong-wook Ahn) announced on the 25th that it will participate in the SynapSoft booth partner zone at the 'International Artificial Intelligence Expo (AI EXPO KOREA 2025)' to be held for three days from May 14th to 16th, and will present solutions based on technological collaboration between the two companies and innovative cases of generative AI.
'AI EXPO', now in its 8th year, is an Asian artificial intelligence exhibition that introduces AI technologies and application cases in various industrial fields, and also holds related conferences and forums.
Smile Information Technology will unveil AGI (general purpose artificial intelligence) and vertical AI solutions specialized for each field, as well as various innovative cases. Since the business partnership between the two companies last year, they have prepared for this exhibition by promoting cooperation in the public sector, commercialization of generative AI, and joint marketing cooperation.
At AI EXPO, Smile Information Technology will provide generative AI services by standardizing various multimodal data accumulated in companies and fields, such as AI autonomous processes that analyze data from hospital reports, health check-ups (PHR), and construction and manufacturing sites, under the theme of “AGI Thinks, Agent Acts!”
In particular, in order to minimize hallucination (creation of false information), which is pointed out as a weakness of AI, a sophisticated RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system was built and continuously improved, thereby converting internal data into high-quality data and processing it as learning data to increase the accuracy and reliability of information. In addition to the medical field, such as Yonsei Medical Center, Konkuk University Hospital, KMI, and police officer health management, Lotte Construction, Hyundai Steel, and Ecopro are also expanding their business based on customized AI agents to non-medical fields.
Smile Information Technology plans to present AI agent solutions specialized in various industries such as hospitals, finance, contact centers, distribution, construction, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical equipment using Synapsoft's Synap DocuAnalyzer and Synap AI OCR, which is the most widely distributed in Korea. In addition, it will also unveil the knowledge asset solution 'SmartTA', the multimodal data platform 'SmartBig', the clinical research support solution 'CRaaS', the AI autonomous manufacturing process solution 'SmartAID', and the data quality management solution 'SmartALQC'.
At this year’s AI EXPO, Smile Information Technology will also unveil three specialized data literacy strategies: ▲Optimizing medical and non-medical domain data ▲Data-driven decision-making ▲Solutions for data accuracy and data quality management.
Mr. Ahn Dong-wook, CEO of Smile Information Technology, said, “In an era overflowing with data, true competitiveness begins with the ability to ‘read, interpret, and utilize’ data,” and added, “As a data literacy company that provides domain-specific AI agents in cooperation with SynapSoft to enable customers to make more sophisticated data-based decisions, we will exceed customer expectations.”
Meanwhile, the market size of Korea's digital healthcare industry is estimated to be KRW 6.493 trillion as of 2023 (Korea Digital Healthcare Industry Association), and is evaluated as a country with high growth potential compared to the global market. In particular, with mandatory national health insurance and the penetration rate of electronic medical records (EMR) systems exceeding 90%, a huge amount of healthcare data is being accumulated in Korea.
However, there have been many restrictions on data utilization due to the fact that it is sensitive information. However, as the Personal Information Protection Commission has started to fully implement MyData in the medical and telecommunications sectors starting this month, the expansion of clinical research support, personal health records (PHR), medical data safety zones, and health data transaction platforms in the medical business sector, which account for more than 60% of total sales of micro information technology, is expected to accelerate. Medical researchers are expected to utilize medical data more, and the development of the domestic healthcare industry is expected to increase along with the protection of the people's right to health.
