
The Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency (hereafter referred to as Gyeonggi Content Agency) announced on the 17th that it will create a fund of approximately 8 billion won to support the growth of content startups in the province and to encourage investment attraction, and that it will recruit companies to participate in the '2025 Gyeonggi Level Up Program' until May 15th.
The 'Gyeonggi Level Up Program' is a comprehensive support program that discovers and fosters promising content companies in cooperation with private professional investment firms, while also leading to actual investment connections. Through this program, GyeonggiConjin plans to provide customized growth support to seed and pre-A stage startups with the goal of creating a sustainable content industry ecosystem.
In this program, we created the 'Level Up Seed Fund 2' worth 3 billion won with the Yoon Min Chang Investment Foundation, and the 'Level Up Pre-A Fund 1' worth over 5 billion won with SM Culture Partners and CNT Tech. The funds created will be operated with the goal of making actual investments in startups at the corresponding stage, and follow-up support is also planned for companies with high growth potential.
Kyungconjin plans to select a total of 46 companies, including 28 seed-stage companies and 18 pre-A-stage companies, through a two-day pitching day on May 28th and 29th. The selected companies will receive networking opportunities with private investors for approximately 7 months starting in May, as well as multi-faceted support such as business model diagnosis, strategy advancement, customized consulting, and legal, patent, and marketing support. In addition, direct investment review will be conducted through the raised fund for promising companies, and more than 1 billion won in investment is expected to be made within the year.
