
On April 14th at 10:00 AM, Busan City and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education signed the '2025 Agreement-type Specialized High School Development Business Agreement' to foster local talent at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education International Conference Room.
This agreement aims to foster talents suitable for special industries and regional-based industries that are needed at the regional and national levels, and the core of this agreement is that local governments, education offices, companies, and specialized high schools will work together to jointly develop and operate customized curricula. The project is scheduled to be operated in a total of 35 schools by 2027.
The signing ceremony was attended by Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Busan Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-joon, and local business officials. Park Sang-yong, Chairman of the Busan-Ulsan Tourism Venture Association and CEO of C& Co., Ltd., also attended and emphasized the importance of industry-academia cooperation.
CEO Park Sang-yong said, “We need a practical-oriented curriculum so that specialized high school students can immediately adapt to the local industrial field,” and added, “The Busan-Ulsan Tourism Venture Council and C& Co., Ltd. plan to actively cooperate in providing on-site training opportunities and developing the curriculum.”
Through this agreement, Busan City plans to expand practical educational courses linked to local industries and continue to support efforts to increase the employment rate of specialized high school graduates and improve the local settlement rate.
