Ministry of SMEs and Startups to Hold '2025 One-Stop Enterprise Support Fair'

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that it will co-host the '2025 One-Stop Enterprise Support Fair' with Daegu Metropolitan City for two days on the 8th and 9th at Daegu EXCO.

The '2025 One-Stop Enterprise Support Fair' is a comprehensive enterprise support fair where local small and medium-sized enterprises carry out purchasing, export, investment, employment, and consultation in one place. At the opening ceremony on the 8th, approximately 150 people attended, including Vice Minister of SMEs and Startups Kim Seong-seop, Daegu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Kim Jeong-gi, and Joint Growth Committee Chairman Lee Dal-gon.

A total of 300 public institutions, large and medium-sized companies, overseas buyers, and venture capitals (VCs) are participating in this exhibition, and around 400 small and medium-sized companies will participate in various programs such as purchasing and export consultations, investment consultations, and talent recruitment.

This year, we have set up a legal consultation corner where local small and medium-sized enterprises can directly consult with professional lawyers to resolve legal concerns related to technology protection or fair trade. In addition, we have established a program to produce and support digital content along with English translation of catalog products necessary for overseas expansion of export novice companies.

We have also prepared an investment briefing session so that startups can receive active investment. Around 30 organizations including VCs, ACs, and angel investors will participate and provide 1:1 investment consultations to around 60 startups.

In particular, through new collaboration with the Daegu-Gyeonggi Angel Investment Hub, we will strategically conduct investment attraction consultations for companies in the early stages of establishment, and help new companies grow in detail. In addition, we will operate by segmenting the 'Daegu Promising Company Recruitment Center' and the 'Specialized High School/Meister High School Technical Talent Recruitment Center' according to the human resources needs of companies, and in the recruitment talk show 'Recruitment Open Studio', current HR managers of promising companies and job seekers will communicate in real time, further increasing the opportunities for recruitment.

In addition, in order to resolve difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the Daegu area, nine organizations including the Daegu Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration will jointly operate a permanent business consultation booth, and Daegu Main Customs will participate for the first time to provide export consultations for companies experiencing difficulties due to customs duties, etc. In this way, many public institutions and financial institutions participating in the expo will actively support local companies to effectively respond to various difficulties they face in the management field.

Vice Minister Kim Seong-seop said, “This expo is a great opportunity for SMEs and venture companies to see at a glance the support they need and receive practical help,” adding, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will continue to cooperate with local governments so that local SMEs and venture companies can grow into key players in our economy, and we will not spare any effort to provide various policy support for the growth and innovation of SMEs and venture companies.”
