Vice Minister Kim Seong-seop of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 Spring Academic Conference of the Small and Medium Venture Business Policy Association held at the Korea Federation of SMEs (2nd floor, Symbiosis Room) on the 4th.
At the opening ceremony on that day, there were presentations and discussions on policy strategies for small and medium-sized venture companies, such as win-win cooperation, activation of venture investment, technological innovation, and globalization, with the main theme being, “How can we make our country an innovative powerhouse for small and medium-sized enterprises?”
In his congratulatory speech, Vice Minister Kim Seong-seop congratulated the holding of the Spring Academic Conference of the Society of Small and Medium Venture Business Policy and shared the three major policy directions that the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is pursuing this year: ▲'Innovation and Scale-up,' ▲'Preemptive Response to the Future,' and ▲'Revitalization of the People's Economy.'
He also said, “I hope that regular academic conferences like today will continue to be a venue for active discussions to seek developmental directions for SME policies,” and “I will carefully ensure that the valuable ideas suggested today are reflected in SME policies.”
