
The Save the Children Daejeon Children's Rights Center, an international children's rights NGO, announced on the 4th that it signed a business agreement with the Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled to carry out the 2025 Disabled Children's Development Support Project. This agreement was held at the Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, and was attended by Save the Children Daejeon Children's Rights Center Director Kim Tae-min, Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled Director Seo Yong-won, and other related officials.
Through this agreement, the two organizations have established a cooperative structure for the smooth implementation of the disabled children development support project. Major cooperative items include ▲Recruitment of participating children ▲Recruitment and dispatch of play teachers ▲Proceeding with small group and group activities ▲Providing capacity-building supplementary education. This project aims to provide better development support to disabled children in Daejeon City and help disabled children go through appropriate development stages within the local community.
Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled Director Seo Yong-won said, “I am delighted that Daejeon City and Daedeok-gu have the opportunity to provide life-cycle treatment for children with developmental disabilities in line with the purpose of establishing the center for the disabled,” and added, “Through cooperation with Save the Children, we will create model cases so that children with disabilities can achieve holistic development in the community.”
Kim Tae-min, the director of Save the Children’s Daejeon Children’s Rights Center, said, “We are glad to be able to support the healthy growth and happy lives of children with developmental disabilities in the region through cooperation with the Daedeok-gu Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled,” and “We will do our best to help children with developmental disabilities improve their emotional communication skills and sociality through interactions with others.”
