The Save the Children Eastern Regional Headquarters (Director Jang Seong-jun), an international children's rights NGO, announced on the 25th that Posco Steelion (CEO Chun Si-yeol) won the '2025 Social Contribution Enterprise Award' in the community development category through the 'Toad House Project' promoted in collaboration with Pohang City and Save the Children. This award is in recognition of the social value of the public-private-NGO cooperation model targeting vulnerable households including children.
The 'Toad House Project' is a joint housing environment improvement project promoted by Posco Steelion, which provides materials such as its own color steel plates, Pohang City, which identifies target households and provides administrative assistance, and Save the Children, which is in charge of project coordination and on-site execution.
Jang Seong-jun, head of Save the Children’s Eastern Regional Headquarters, said, “This award is a meaningful achievement that has laid the foundation for children to live in a safer environment through public-private cooperation. We will continue to do our best to substantially improve the quality of children’s lives through regional housing welfare support.”
