Korea International Trade Association to Hold '2025 Seoul International Sports Leisure Industry Exhibition'

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA, Chairman Jin-sik Yoon) will hold the '2025 Seoul International Sports Leisure Industry Exhibition (SPOEX 2025)' for four days from the 27th to the 30th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in collaboration with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.

SPOEX, held for the 25th time this year, is Korea's largest sports and leisure industry exhibition that has received international exhibition certification from the World Exhibition Association (UFI). It was also selected as a 'promising exhibition' by the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association this year, and is gaining recognition as a global exhibition.

This year, a total of 319 companies from various fields such as health and fitness, sports equipment and clothing, aquatic and water sports, and sports nutrition participated and operated 1,720 booths, a 7% increase in participation compared to the previous year. In particular, 74 overseas companies, including sports nutrition manufacturer BioTech USA, participated, a 21% increase compared to the previous year.

In addition, a new 'SPOTECH Special Hall' has been created to reflect the recently emerging 'SPOTECH (SPO+TECH)' trend. Many companies participating in CES, the largest consumer electronics and tech show in the U.S., and companies that have won CES Innovation Awards will participate in this hall to provide experiences with diverse products and technologies.

The trade association also hosts an 'Overseas Buyer Invitation Export Consultation' as a side event of the exhibition. In this consultation, a total of 30 buyers from 10 countries, including Primer Group, a large Philippine sports goods distribution company, and Super Retail Group of Australia, were invited, providing an opportunity for one-on-one export consultations with 120 domestic companies.

Lee Myeong-ja, head of the Overseas Marketing Division at the Korea International Trade Association, said, “The trade association is providing support in various ways so that the exhibition can solidify its role as a platform for industrial growth,” and added, “We plan to operate a Korean pavilion at the FIBO Cologne Sports Fair to be held in Germany in April and continue to support excellent sports and leisure companies in developing new markets.”
