
Webring (Operator: Wika Corporation), an integrated platform for supporting the lives of foreigners, announced on the 20th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Kwangwoon University's International Education Institute to attract and support the settlement of foreign students.
This agreement aims to improve the academic and living environment of international students and strengthen the global network. Webring and Kwangwoon University International Education Institute will operate various support programs through cooperation to enable international students to continue their studies in Korea more conveniently and stably.
The main contents of the agreement are cooperation in attracting and promoting foreign students, support for international students’ settlement and provision of convenient living services, industry-academia cooperation and employment support for fostering global talent, and activation of Korean cultural experiences and international student networks. Webring will provide international students with various living support services such as accommodation, transportation, insurance, visas, cultural experiences, and legal consultations, and plans to develop customized settlement programs and establish employment and entrepreneurship support networks.
Director Cho Seong-woo of Kwangwoon University’s Institute of International Education said, “Through this agreement, we will spare no support to help international students settle down in Korea and continue their studies and lives smoothly,” and added, “We hope that through our cooperation with Webring, Kwangwoon University will be able to develop even further into a global international student-friendly educational institution.”
Wika Corporation CEO Jo Mi-young said, “Through this agreement, we will spare no effort in providing practical support to international students so that they can have a successful study abroad life in Korea together with Kwangwoon University,” and “We will continue to cooperate with various universities and organizations to create a global international student-friendly environment.”
