Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Integrated Announcement of 2025 Marketing Support Project “15.96 billion won in support for SMEs’ market development”

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that it will implement the '2025 Marketing Support Project Integrated Notice' starting on the 11th to support sales channels for SMEs.

This year, 15.96 billion won will be provided to the marketing support project, which consists of four programs: ▲online sales channel support ▲offline sales channel support ▲dedicated sales stores for small and medium-sized business products ▲joint A/S support.

The main contents of the ‘Marketing Support Project’ in 2025 are as follows.

  • [Online sales channel support] MD consulting is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises and marketing costs are supported to enable them to enter online distribution networks such as e-commerce and home shopping (TV, data).
  • [Offline sales channel support] We support initial entry and promotional activities so that businesses can settle into large-scale distribution networks such as department stores and large marts. We also plan to hold purchasing consultation meetings in conjunction with local government-hosted corporate fairs to provide opportunities to develop sales channels through buyer consultations.
  • [SME Product Exclusive Store] We support the development of sales channels for SME products by operating SME product exclusive stores where only SME products can be sold. SME product exclusive stores are currently operating in 6 locations in the duty-free zone of Incheon International Airport, department stores, etc., and we plan to expand to a total of 8 locations by adding 2 more locations in the second half of the year. SME product exclusive stores apply lower sales commission rates than other distribution channels and support sales personnel, etc.
  • [Joint A/S Support] In order to support after-sales management of products sold by small and medium-sized businesses, a joint A/S call center is operated to provide consultation on consumers’ products and to support repairs by connecting with professional repair agencies.

Lee Soon-bae, Director of Global Growth Policy, said, “Many small and medium-sized enterprises are having difficulty finding sales channels due to the recent difficult domestic economy,” and added, “We will cooperate with private distribution channels to support excellent small and medium-sized enterprises to smoothly enter the private market.”
