Content platform startup Guru Company announced that it participated in the '2nd Unlisted Promising Company Investment Briefing' hosted by Eugene Investment & Securities Research Center and revealed the performance of its B2B webtoon/short drama solution 'Treasure Island' to investors. The event provided a place for various unlisted companies to present their core technologies and business performances, and Guru Company participated as one of them.
The '2nd Unlisted Promising Company Investment Briefing Session' is an event held every other month starting in December 2024, introducing investment trends in unlisted companies based on IPO market analysis and inviting companies with high growth potential to make presentations. This event began with a market trend presentation by Park Jong-seon, a researcher at Eugene Investment & Securities' KOSDAQ venture team, followed by presentations by Elzen in the AI and deep tech sector, including content platform company Guru Company, and Aston Science in the bio sector.
At the event, Guru Company presented impressive results through case studies of clients who introduced its B2B webtoon and short drama solution, Treasure Island. Guru Company announced that the monthly retention of users using the app increased by 119%, visit frequency increased by 173%, and usage time increased by 222%. In addition, Treasure Island’s monthly active users (MAU) reached 560,000, and the average revenue per paid user (ARPPU) recorded 20,773 won. Treasure Island reported that it exceeded 420 million won in cumulative transactions in just four months since its launch, showing an average monthly growth rate of 35%.
Guru Company’s Director Park Beom-jin said, “I am delighted to have been invited to this investment briefing session for promising unlisted companies,” and explained, “After attracting 2 billion won in pre-A investment last year, the number of companies adopting Treasure Island has rapidly increased as its performance has become visibly proven, expanding to 24 in just three months since launch.” He continued, “With the spread of the super app trend, demand for content from companies is also skyrocketing, and the domestic B2B content market size is expected to reach approximately 700 billion won. We will further advance Treasure Island’s technology and expand our market dominance through Series A investment this year.”
