
Law firm DLG (CEO Attorneys Wonhee Cho and Heechul Ahn) and Yangcheon TNT FC (CEO Taeryong Kim) announced on the 7th that they signed a business agreement (MOU) to support the advancement of Yangcheon TNT players to Germany.
The signing ceremony held on the 6th in the conference room of DLG Law Firm was attended by Wonhee Cho, the representative attorney of DLG Law Firm, Ikje Cho, the German attorney of DLG (representative of DLG Germany Office), and Taeryong Kim, the representative of Yangcheon TNT FC.
Under this agreement, DL Law Firm will provide basic legal advisory services to Yangcheon TNT FC and support legal advice and consulting for its football players’ advancement into Germany. It will also utilize DL Law Firm’s network to connect Yangcheon TNT FC with potential partner companies.
Yangcheon TNT FC is a football team based in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. It is considered to be the first generation of Korean club football and a representative example of domestic grassroots football. It is also evaluated as an exemplary case of the division system (promotion and relegation), which is a key policy of the Korea Football Association.
Key areas of cooperation include reviewing player contracts, supporting negotiations with overseas clubs, legal advice on visas and residence, tax consultation, and other comprehensive legal services required for soccer players to advance overseas. In particular, we plan to provide specialized services that are specialized in the legal environment of the German sports industry.
Kim Tae-ryong, CEO of Yangcheon TNT FC, emphasized, “I am glad that through this agreement, we can now professionally resolve legal issues that may arise during the advancement of excellent players to Germany.” He added, “TNT is a club that values player development, so we will support promising players in the K4 and U18 categories that are preparing for establishment so that they can challenge themselves on the world stage.”
Cho Won-hee, the managing attorney of DLG Law Firm, said, “The sports industry is an important area of global business, and it is very meaningful that we are able to provide legal support for domestic soccer players’ overseas advancement through cooperation with Yangcheon TNT FC.” He added, “We will utilize DLG’s Frankfurt local office and global network to smoothly support players’ overseas adaptation and contract process, and establish a model for cooperation between sports and law.”
