Happy Monday, Manufacturing Plant Acquisition

Happy Monday, a startup that is revolutionizing the menstrual experience and leading the women’s health industry, acquires a sanitary pad factory, internalizes manufacturing capabilities, and further enhances its competitiveness in the menstrual care market. With this, Happy Monday solidifies its position as a femtech leader, securing infrastructure in addition to products, services, and content.

Happy Monday has established all the processes for manufacturing sanitary pads, judging that manufacturing stability is very important for providing high-quality menstrual products smoothly. The factory has been joined by experts who sympathize with Happy Monday’s purpose, including operators with over 20 years of experience. With this, the company plans to directly reflect the demands that domestic and international customers have for the brand in manufacturing and further increase product satisfaction. Happy Monday’s sanitary pad line will be manufactured at the factory starting in the first half of this year.

Happy Monday is hoping to increase the diversity and quality of the entire sanitary pad market by cooperating with various brands and OEMs in the industry through its manufacturing plant. Furthermore, it has also expressed its intention to contribute to the development of the ecosystem by closely connecting various stakeholders such as consumers, manufacturing sites, brands, and raw material suppliers by fully utilizing the know-how of operating a brand that has grown steadily for more than 7 years. It also has a strong intention to develop materials, research, experiments, and sample manufacturing by setting up a separate laboratory in the factory.

Happy Monday CEO Kim Do-jin said, “Happy Monday, the paradigm changer in women’s health care, has become an 8-year-old company and has its own manufacturing plant, which is a special feeling. I will transplant my original intention of making sanitary pads for myself and my loved ones to the manufacturing site and accelerate my journey to improve the menstrual experience.”

It is difficult to find a company that develops and organically provides products, services, and content in the women's health field like Happy Monday, both domestically and internationally.

Happy Monday has been growing its brand every year by increasing the quality and diversity of the menstrual product market since 2016, when the organic product market share was less than 10%, by planning and developing organic cotton cover sanitary pads, supplying winged tampons made entirely of organic cotton for the outer shell and removal thread, and the first digital tampon among domestic brands. Furthermore, it has developed 'Heymoon', a menstrual management super app that goes beyond the calendar, and has secured over 30% of women in their 20s in Korea as members and also has women's health content with over 19 million cumulative views.

Happy Monday acquired Boram Donghae Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary, and CEO Kim Do-jin will concurrently serve as the subsidiary’s CEO. In the future, the company will pursue a differentiated strategy as a manufacturing company led by young women, such as changing the company name to ‘Boldy Co., Ltd.’
