Gangwon Innovation Center, ICT-based tourism startup recruitment

Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Hae-Jeong Lee, hereinafter referred to as Gangwon Innovation Center) announced that it will recruit startups developing ICT-based smart tourism content from February 26 to March 26.

This project aims to strengthen innovation and competitiveness in the tourism industry in the Gangwon region by providing business development support funds, mentoring, and verification programs to startups with less than 7 years of experience, from prospective entrepreneurs.

This support project will be operated through two tracks: the ‘2025 Gangwon BRIDGE Tourism and Culture Support Project’ and the ‘2025 Gangwon Tourism Content Support Project.’

  • 2025 Gangwon BRIDGE Tourism and Culture Support Project: Targeting prospective entrepreneurs and startups with less than 3 years of experience, it supports the development of ICT-based smart tourism ideas and content utilizing Gangwon regional resources.
  • 2025 Gangwon Tourism Content Support Project: Targeting startups with less than 7 years of experience, it supports companies with technology (e.g. VR, AI, etc.) or tourism-related resources to develop content linked to the Gangwon region.

Both projects will be provided with benefits such as a business development support fund of up to 20 million won without self-payment, 1:1 mentoring, regional organization linkage, and verification support. In addition, through verification, the possibility of application in the actual tourism market will be increased and investment linkage opportunities will be expanded.
