AI avatar startup Goodgang Labs and hygiene product brand Mamison INC announced on the 25th that they have signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) for AI avatar voice agent market and retail innovation. Through this agreement, Goodgang Labs plans to expand its retail business utilizing AI avatar voice agent solutions in cooperation with various brands including Mamison.
GoodGangLabs is a startup founded in 2022 by AI experts from Meta and Line, and has attracted investment from Naver D2SF, Kakao Investment, etc. The company is suggesting a new way of interaction between brands and consumers by combining a solution that provides a conversational retail experience based on AI avatar voice agent technology with a kiosk.
GoodGangLabs’ voice-based solution is differentiated from existing kiosks, allowing users to easily place orders using only their voices. In addition, it naturally processes customer inquiries and consultations, allowing flexible customer response. This solution has developed and applied SLM (Small Language Model), STT (Speech Recognition), TTS (Speech Synthesis), and avatar motion generation technologies to the device, boasting an order response speed of less than 1.5 seconds and an accuracy of over 99.8%. It currently supports various languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.
In addition, GoodGangLabs' solution is optimized for browser-based use, so it can provide the same AI avatar-based voice ordering and consulting experience not only in kiosks but also in online commerce environments. The company is actively targeting the AI retail market by opening the 'GGLS Flagship Store', the world's first offline retail store to commercialize AI avatar voice agents, in Serosu-gil, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Through this agreement, Mamison will participate as the first brand partner and will hold a 'Mamison Rubber Glove 500-Piece Sold-Out Pop-up Event' at the GGLS flagship store for four days starting on the 28th. At this event, visitors will be able to purchase Mamison rubber gloves at a special price by conversing with the AI staff 'Nalnani' via voice.
“We plan to continuously expand new retail experiences utilizing AI technology,” said Ahn Doo-kyung, CEO of Goodgang Labs. “Starting with Mamison, we will expand collaborations with various brands to ensure that AI avatar technology innovatively changes the contact points between brands and consumers.”
