
SAP APAC (Asia Pacific) announced the appointment of Simon Davies as President of the newly reorganized Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Davies will be responsible for SAP’s strategy, operations, people, sales, services, partnerships and profitability in the region. Paul Marriott, who held the position for the past five years, will return to Europe to spend time with his family.
Simon Davis will be responsible for overseeing the Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Greater China and South East Asia markets, and will manage more than 31,000 employees across 78 offices. SAP currently serves key customers in the Asia Pacific region, including Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors Corporation, NEC Corporation, Coles Group, Wipro, Fujitsu Limited, Shiseido, Himalaya, Cochlear and Japan Airlines.
Mr. Davis has been instrumental in developing, selling and implementing IT solutions in the Asia Pacific region for the past 25 years, working with leading software companies including Microsoft, Salesforce and Oracle. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan at Splunk for over three years. He is also a board member of several pre-IPO technology companies and a member of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors (AICD).
