Yellowsis Launches on US Crowdfunding Site Indiegogo

Daegu Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Han In-guk) , Samsung Electronics , and Daegu Metropolitan City jointly fostered Daegu C-Lab 14th Batch Yellowsys (CEO Tak Yu-kyung) announced that they are launching the smart urine test kit for pets, 'Cym702 Pet', on the US crowdfunding site Indiegogo.

The 'Cym702 Pet' being launched this time is a smart urine test kit for pets. After collecting urine from their pets with the test kit and taking a picture with the 'Cym702 Pet' app, they can receive the test results for 10 different items in just 60 seconds. As the solution target was expanded to include pets, the number of test items increased from 5 to 10, and it is recording an accuracy of over 98% through the self-developed color and image correction machine learning algorithm.

In particular, before the official launch, we conducted a tester recruitment and market verification in collaboration with 'Dr. Tail (CEO Dae-hwa Lee)' to survey the reactions of local consumers in the US, and received a great response from local testers. 'Dr. Tail' is a 15th Daegu C-Lab graduate company and officially launched an online veterinary consultation service in the US, and is currently used by approximately 530,000 local pets.

'Cym702 Pet' will be officially launched in the US market on the 11th through the US crowdfunding platform 'Indiegogo'. One kit contains two doses and will be sold starting at $9 each.

Yellowsys is a healthcare startup that develops a urine test-based measurement system and AI healthcare solution so that anyone can easily manage their health in their daily lives. It has been recognized for its innovation overseas, having won three innovation awards at CES 2024. In particular, in August of last year, it introduced the human urine test kit 'Cym702 Boat' to GS25 convenience stores, achieving a 600% increase in sales compared to the previous year. In addition, it is actively pursuing entry into overseas markets such as the US, Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan through cooperation with Plug and Play, the world's largest accelerator, and is also actively attracting follow-up investment.

“We have created an environment where urine tests can be easily performed at home in order to revolutionize the way pets, as well as people, manage their health,” said Tak Yoo-kyung, CEO of Yellowsys. “We hope that starting with this US crowdfunding launch, major cases will continue to be made in global hub regions, and we will expand health data and develop linked solutions so that more pets can live healthy lives.”

Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation Director Han In-guk said, “As the number of cases in which companies fostered through the Daegu Center are recognized for their innovation overseas is increasing, expectations for global expansion are growing,” and “The Center will continue to support excellent startups so that they can become competitive on the global stage beyond Korea, and we will do our best to enable more companies to present innovative technologies and solutions.”
