Energy and climate tech company Enlighten announced on the 5th that it was selected as one of Samsung Electronics' official RE100 private solar power suppliers, thereby establishing itself as a key partner leading the transition of its partners to renewable energy.
As the first achievement of this business, Enlighten signed a contract with Remote Solution (remote control development and manufacturing) and Korea Ebara Precision Machinery (semiconductor manufacturing machinery manufacturing) and began full-scale business. Enlighten analyzed the energy demand of each company and designed and provided an optimized solar power solution. Remote Solution adopted a subscription model without initial cost burden, and Korea Ebara Precision Machinery chose a direct investment model for long-term energy cost reduction.
With this contract as a momentum, Enlighten plans to expand its solar power installation business targeting Samsung Electronics partner factories this year. In particular, the RE100 subscription model allows for the transition to renewable energy without the burden of initial investment.
In addition, Enlighten is not limited to simply installing solar power facilities, but is also providing strategic support for improving energy efficiency and strengthening ESG management. Through this, it is helping its partners build a sustainable business environment and plans to contribute to achieving Samsung Electronics’ global RE100 goals.
“The contracts with Remote Solution and Korea Ebara Precision Machinery prove that Enlighten has established itself as a trustworthy partner leading the transition to renewable energy for Samsung Electronics’ partners,” said Lee Young-ho, CEO of Enlighten. “We will continue to provide optimized solar power solutions and lead the growth of the domestic renewable energy market.”
