Simple Platform, an industrial AIoT platform company, announced on the 4th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with B&B Eye Clinic to expand the AIoT platform in the healthcare field.
This MOU is a project to link Simple Platform's AIoT platform, 'Nubision', with B&B Eye Clinic's medical device equipment and treatment system, and the two companies plan to cooperate in the medical AI field in the long term.
Simple Platform is a leader in domestic industrial AIoT services, securing customers in various industries such as public, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare. It has already applied Nuvison to Gangnam Severance Hospital, linking medical devices and the hospital's medical record system, and has received a great response from the nursing and practical staff in the ward. Based on this successful case, it decided to pursue cooperation with B&B Eye Clinic.
B&B Eye Clinic, which opened in 1994 and is a leading eye clinic that introduced LASIK surgery in Korea, will build an AIoT platform through this MOU that can automatically link data generated from medical equipment with the hospital treatment system. This is expected to automate the work process that the staff had been inputting directly, and greatly improve not only work efficiency but also the quality of patient service.
In addition, B&B Eye Clinic announced that it plans to expand the application of the AI platform to the field of ophthalmology treatment in the future, starting with the introduction of this AIoT platform.
Simple Platform CEO Im Dae-geun said, “Based on this collaboration, we plan to expand the system to various hospitals and nursing homes, including plastic surgery clinics,” and emphasized, “Now that we have secured security reliability through ISO 27001 certification, we will further accelerate our entry into the healthcare market.”
