Pluto , an artificial intelligence (AI) language data company, announced on the 1st that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Furiosa AI , an AI semiconductor company, for joint research on AI technology and service advancement.
Furiosa AI is a fabless company that designs AI semiconductor chips specialized in high-performance inference, such as large language models (LLMs) and vision AI, and its technological prowess is recognized in domestic and international markets.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to promote ▲joint research to enhance AI language data and core language models (STT, MT, TTS) ▲development of real-time simultaneous interpretation and image automatic translation technology based on a neural network processing unit (NPU) ▲joint development of high-speed interpretation and translation application services linked to NPU ▲sharing of research and development (R&D) capabilities and talent exchange, etc.
In particular, by linking Pluto's large-scale language data and interpretation and translation solutions to Furiosa AI's high-performance, low-power NPU platform, the two companies are expected to be able to provide next-generation AI language services with improved performance and efficiency.
“We will converge NPU-based technology with high-quality language data to provide a competitive integrated solution in the global AI language service market,” said Lee Jeong-su, CEO of Pluto. “Based on the technological prowess and talent capabilities of both companies, we will accelerate the development of advanced AI interpretation and translation solutions.”
