Soinet, selected as 'Venture Startup Company Product' by Public Procurement Service

Soinet Co., Ltd., an investment company of the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Gyeonggi Innovation Center”), announced on the 24th that it was finally selected and registered as a venture and start-up company product by the Public Procurement Service. This selection was made as part of support to promote the entry of venture and start-up companies into the public procurement market and expand public purchasing sales channels.

Through this registration, Soinet aims to meet the demand for multilingual interpretation in the public sector, and to expand into overseas markets after stabilizing the domestic market through increased sales. Soinet, which recently attracted $300,000 in credit from Google, introduced a cloud-based multilingual simultaneous interpretation service (DABAR Realtime Broadcasting multi-language interpretation services). This service recognizes 37 languages and broadcasts real-time subtitles and audio in 124 languages, heralding innovation in the subtitle and interpretation market.

Co-CEO Park Jeong-woo said, “It is expected that human-centered interpretation will be replaced by artificial intelligence within the next three years, but an individual’s foreign language skills will still play an important role in human society.”
