Korea Gender Equality Education Promotion Institute and Korea Gas Corporation Sign Business Agreement

The Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education (Director Kim Sam-hwa) under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 4th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Korea Gas Corporation (President Choi Yeon-hye) to spread a culture of gender equality and violence prevention.

This agreement was prepared to promote practical cooperation in various fields, including ▲educational cooperation to spread awareness of gender equality and violence prevention, ▲education and exchange cooperation to improve gender cognition, ▲publicity cooperation to spread awareness of gender equality and violence prevention, ▲projects to discover female talent and improve their representation, and ▲other matters related to mutual business support and promotion of friendship.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to lead the realization of gender equality and the creation of social value within public institutions and strengthen joint efforts to practice environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management.

Kim Sam-hwa, the president of the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, said, “As an energy public enterprise that has contributed to national development, Korea Gas Corporation is taking the lead in spreading gender equality values, which has a positive impact on our society as a whole. We will actively support the corporation to establish itself as a leading public enterprise that respects diversity and inclusion by utilizing the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education’s professional educational content,” expressing her expectations for the signing of the agreement.

Choi Yeon-hye, president of Korea Gas Corporation, said, “Through this agreement, we will take a further leap forward as a representative company of gender equality and strive to become an organization that respects diversity.”
