Modusign provides 'public institution exclusive electronic signature service' to the National Pension Service

Electronic signature platform company Modusign Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Young-jun) announced on the 8th that it will provide an electronic signature service exclusively for public institutions to the National Pension Service. This project is part of the 'Digital Service Utilization and Expansion Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Intelligence Service (NIA), and will be implemented in stages until December 15, 2025.

Through this introduction, the corporation will convert the manual signature process of internal and external administrative documents, which amount to approximately 60,000 cases per year, to the cloud-based electronic signature system, ‘Modusign.’ Through this, the goal is to reduce paper-based administrative procedures by 80% by 2026.

'Modusign Public', a SaaS service exclusively for public institutions, provides embedded electronic signatures and contracts, API-based document processing automation, audit logs, and hash value-based original authentication functions. The service has cloud security certification (CSAP standard grade), GS certification, etc., and has passed the security review according to the 'National Information Security Basic Guidelines' of the National Intelligence Service, satisfying the security requirements that can be used by public institutions.

The corporation expects that through this system conversion, it will be able to shorten the application, reception, approval, registration, and storage procedures that took an average of 14 days to about 12 hours, and reduce paper, postal, and storage costs of about 200 million won per year by more than 80%. In addition, it plans to minimize the risk of document forgery and alteration and personal information leakage through the audit log and hash value generated during the electronic signature process, and strengthen the transparency and legal reliability of administrative procedures.

“It is meaningful that we can accelerate the digital transformation of public administration through cooperation with the public corporation,” said Lee Young-jun, CEO of Modusain. “We will actively support business innovation based on proven security and scalability.”
