Save the Farms presents success stories at the ‘Fisheries By-product Resource Recycling Forum’ hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries

Save the Farms announced on the 8th that it attended the 'Re:Shell, Re:Start Fishery By-product Resource Recycling Seminar' held at the Daejeon KW Convention Center on June 25th, presented successful cases of fishery by-product utilization, and discussed the current status of the recycling industry and related plans.

This meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and organized by the Korea Fisheries Village and Port Corporation, and related industries, organizations, and start-ups participated to promote the resource utilization and utilization industry of fishery by-products.

The event included introductions to related policies, presentations on recycling technology cases for fisheries by-products, guidance on startup support projects, and consultations between suppliers and consumers. In particular, discussions were held on joint research on shrimp feed using oyster shells and the direction of eco-friendly raw material business, and the possibility of cooperation with related organizations such as the Korea Shrimp Fisheries Association was also explored.

At the site, the Venture Investment Support Center booth was operated and 1:1 consultations were held simultaneously, providing opportunities for startups to connect directly with the industry.

Save the Farms CEO Hwang In-su said, “Through this meeting, we were able to see the various possibilities and opportunities for collaboration in utilizing marine by-products,” and added, “We will continue to work on technology development and network expansion so that we can contribute to creating a sustainable ecosystem through the recycling of organic waste.”
