
The Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education (President Kim Sam-hwa) under the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Incheon International Airport Corporation (President Lee Hak-jae) announced on the 15th that they signed a business agreement (MOU) to foster a gender equality organizational culture and spread awareness of violence prevention.
This agreement includes ▲cooperation in gender equality and violence prevention education ▲creation of a gender-equal organizational culture ▲discovery of female talent and improvement of representation ▲publicity to spread related awareness ▲promotion of other mutual cooperation and friendship, etc., and the two organizations plan to promote practical cooperation plans based on this.
In the future, the two organizations plan to continue joint efforts to induce positive changes in organizational culture by raising awareness of gender equality among members and strengthening violence prevention capabilities, and to expand the participation and representation of female talent in the aviation industry.
Incheon International Airport Corporation is a public enterprise that has contributed to the development of the national and regional economy as well as the smooth operation of air transport through airport construction and operation, and is carrying out various activities to fulfill social responsibility and operate the organization sustainably.
Kim Sam-hwa, the president of the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education, said, “We expect this agreement to bring about positive changes in establishing a culture of gender equality and fostering female talent in the aviation industry,” and added, “The two organizations will continue to cooperate toward a common goal.”
Lee Hak-jae, president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, also said, “We will strengthen our efforts to spread and practice gender equality values within the organization through this agreement,” and “We will actively support creating an environment where all talents can demonstrate their capabilities regardless of gender.”
