
Dexter Studios (hereinafter referred to as Dexter) announced on the 21st that it has signed a contract to supply visual effects (VFX) technology for the drama T (tentative title) produced by Japanese video production company Episcope.
The total amount of this contract is approximately 5.82 billion won, and the contract period is from July 18, 2025 to January 29, 2027. Dexter will be in charge of all VFX required for drama production during that period.
Dexter has been working on various global projects centered on the Japanese content market. There are many cases of collaboration with Japanese production companies, such as the Hollywood film Saint Seiya: The Beginning based on a Japanese manga, the Netflix film City Hunter, and the live-action drama Yu Yu Hakusho.
Dexter also produced the VFX for the Netflix series Parasyte: The Gray and Yu Yu Hakusho, both of which were nominated for the Best Digital VFX Award at the 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards. Of these, Parasyte: The Gray was selected as the actual winner.
A company official stated, “Dexter is continuing its technological collaboration based on its high level of understanding of the Japanese production environment and intellectual property (IP), and is expanding its participation in the global market based on its experience collaborating with various overseas production companies, including those in Japan and China.”
