Global AI communication platform company Sendbird (CEO Dongshin Kim) announced on the 24th that it has appointed Charles Studt as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The new CMO, Studt, will oversee Sendbird’s global marketing strategy going forward, and will lead the expansion of the company’s AI-based customer experience platform ‘Omnipresent AI’ and strengthen its brand leadership.
Sturt served as Vice President of Marketing and GM of Product-led Growth at Qualtrics, where he led the growth of the customer experience product line. He also has experience in brand strategy and performance-driven marketing at several technology companies, including Intelpia, QuanticMind, and Redbooth.
Last May, Sendbird launched 'Omnipresent AI', which supports predictive customer response based on its AI technology. The solution supports interaction with customers by preemptively identifying needs based on customer behavior data and proactively starting conversations on various channels such as websites, apps, and messengers. Unlike general chatbots, it features a combination of interactions that reflect customer context and natural consultation transition functions.
CMO Charles Sturt plans to pursue a global marketing strategy centered on ▲strengthening brand messages based on customer cases, ▲establishing an AI marketing execution system, and ▲establishing strategies for each industry group.
“Sendbird is a company that excels at creating deep connections between brands and consumers based on customer data,” said Sturt. “We will focus on putting the user’s voice at the center of all marketing activities and improving the quality of the brand experience.”
Kim Dong-shin, CEO of Sendbird, said, “AI agents are not simple automation, but a new standard for customer experience that actively understands customers and responds first,” adding, “Charles Sturt’s addition will be a significant opportunity to expand this transition across the global market.”
