RS Automation Selected as New Participant in the K-Humanoid Alliance

RS Automation , a robot motion control specialist, announced on the 4th that it was selected as a new participating company in the 'K-Humanoid Alliance' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning.

The "K-Humanoid Alliance" officially launched in April, a large-scale national project aimed at establishing South Korea as a leader in humanoid robot technology by 2030. Key priorities include: developing a common AI foundation model for robots; advancing humanoid hardware and core component technologies; developing foundational technologies such as AI semiconductors and batteries; fostering specialized talent and startups; and strengthening cooperation between supply and demand companies.

RS Automation was elected as the first co-chairman of the Robot Parts Industry Association when it was launched in March, and plans to further expand its contribution to the development of the domestic robot technology ecosystem through its participation in this alliance.

The company currently possesses various core robot component technologies, including high-efficiency, high-torque drive technology, vibration reduction algorithms, precision force sensors, low-power sensors, and industrial cybersecurity certification. Based on these technologies, the company is pursuing the development of differentiated products applicable to next-generation humanoid robots.

Kang Deok-hyeon, CEO of RS Automation, said, “Through our participation in the K-Humanoid Alliance, we will strengthen the competitiveness of related component technologies and expand cooperation between industry, government, and academia, thereby contributing to the strategic development of the robot industry.
