Giving Plus Foundation (CEO Namgung Gyu) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Inspire Integrated Resort Co., Ltd. (CEO Chen Shi) on August 5 to promote ESG management practices and resource recycling culture.
Under this agreement, the two organizations will recycle waste linen generated at Inspire Resort into eco-friendly upcycled benches and donate them to three elementary schools (both regular and special needs) in Incheon. Beyond simple waste reduction, this joint ESG project will be linked to community donations and environmental education.
The upcycled benches will be installed in breakout areas within schools, allowing children to experience the value of resource recycling firsthand. Furthermore, a resource recycling education program with professional upcycling instructors will be offered to students at the schools receiving the donations. Students will have the opportunity to create their own upcycled artwork using discarded plastic.
Inspire is exploring sustainable models that virtuously recycle idle resources generated during hotel and resort operations from an ESG perspective. In the future, Inspire plans to expand its eco-friendly donation activities and educational programs with local communities.
Chen Shi, CEO of Inspire, said, “This agreement is a meaningful practice that goes beyond simple resource recycling and creates sustainable value together with the local community. We hope to contribute to environmental protection for future generations and revitalizing the ESG ecosystem in the Incheon region.”
Giving Plus CEO Namgung Gyu said, “We hope that through collaboration with companies that practice social responsibility, resource recycling and a culture of donation will naturally spread into everyday life,” and added, “We will continue to carry out various local ESG projects in the future.”
