Kibo Selects Additional M&A Partners

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced on Monday the 11th that it has additionally selected “M&A Partners” to support the activation of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies and to strengthen the foundation for public-private cooperation.

M&A Partners is a private specialized organization that provides customized brokerage services to small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies through a public-private partnership M&A platform (hereinafter referred to as the "M&A Platform") by establishing a joint brokerage cooperation system with Kibo.

Kibo selected five finalists after comprehensively evaluating the applicants through a recruitment notice in June, based on factors including their M&A brokerage performance and capabilities, and the appropriateness of their brokerage operations. With this additional selection, the number of M&A partners working with Kibo has increased from 10 to 15.

Through its M&A platform, Kibo provides one-stop support for the entire M&A process for SMEs and venture companies, from identifying M&A needs to advisory, brokerage, and financing. Through this expansion of its M&A partnerships, Kibo plans to further strengthen its public-private joint brokerage network and support SMEs and venture companies in pursuing M&A more effectively.

Kibo CEO Lee Sang-chang said, “We hope that this expansion of M&A partnerships will allow more small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies to utilize the expertise and field know-how of the private sector,” and added, “Kibo will continue to expand cooperation with private specialized organizations and actively support companies to achieve tangible M&A results through field-oriented support.”
