비접촉 생체인증 전문기업 위닝아이(대표 정우영)가 최근 경찰청과 신규 계약을 체결하며 의미 있는 성과를 거뒀다. 이번 계약은 기존에 경쟁사 솔루션을 사용하던 주요 기관을 자사 고객으로 전환한 이른바 ‘Win Back’ 사례로, 위닝아이의 독보적 기술력을 입증하는 계기가 됐다.
경찰청은 2017년 타사 솔루션을 도입했으나, 차세대 보안·인증 체계 강화를 위해 새로운 솔루션 검토에 착수했다. 그 결과, AEROX SignLoc을 도입하기로 결정했다.
위닝아이 관계자는 “국내 주요 기관들이 다시 한번 당사의 기술력과 안정성을 인정하고 선택한 것은 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 고객이 안심하고 사용할 수 있는 지속가능한 차세대 생체인증 기술을 제공해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Winningi (CEO Wooyoung Jeong), a contactless biometric authentication company, recently achieved a significant milestone by signing a new contract with the National Police Agency. This contract, a so-called "win-back" case where a major agency previously using a competing solution converted to Winningi's customer base, serves as a testament to Winningi's unrivaled technological prowess.
The National Police Agency adopted a third-party solution in 2017, but began exploring new solutions to strengthen its next-generation security and authentication system. As a result, it decided to implement AEROX SignLoc.
