Petbox Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyunseok Lee) , a pet-related tech company, announced on the 14th that it was finally selected as a '2025 Hi Seoul Company' hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA).
"Hi Seoul Enterprise" is an official certification system established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to identify and support outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Selected companies are selected annually based on a comprehensive evaluation of technological innovation, growth potential, and management stability. Selected companies receive various benefits for the next three years, including global expansion support, B2B network connections, additional points for Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA) support programs, and preferential access to policy funding.
Founded in 2014, Petbox was the first company in Korea to introduce a pet subscription service. It offers technology-driven services, including AI-based personalized curation and big data-driven pet health management solutions. The company has experienced rapid growth, recording an average annual growth rate of 57% over the past four years.
During this year's Hi Seoul Enterprise certification process, Petbox received high marks for its leadership in the digital transformation of the pet industry, continued investment in technology development and R&D, a stable financial structure, and ESG management practices. In particular, its contribution to the qualitative growth of the "pet economy" in an era of 15 million pets was recognized positively.
As a Hi Seoul company, Petbox will receive various public support benefits, including global marketing support, participation in overseas exhibitions, priority selection for export vouchers, Seoul-type R&D points, preferential policy funding, and Hi Seoul joint brand usage rights.
Petbox CEO Lee Hyeon-seok said, “This selection as a Hi Seoul Company is the result of official recognition of our technological innovation and growth efforts so far,” and added, “With the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, we will leap forward as a company leading the global pet tech market.”
Meanwhile, Petbox was recently selected as one of the '2025 Innovation Premier 1000' companies , and was also selected as an excellent company at the 'Mutual Growth Investment (IR) Forum' hosted by the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association in November 2024, successfully attracting investment.
