S&I Corporation (CEO Hyung Won-jun, hereinafter referred to as S&I), a comprehensive real estate management company based on PropTech, announced on the 3rd that it has been finally selected as the operator of the operation management (FM, Facility Management) of the 'Gasan DCI Data Center' jointly developed by global data center infrastructure company DCI Data Centers and Daerim.

The selection of the business operator was conducted through a fiercely competitive bidding process with global real estate asset management companies, and SNI succeeded in winning the final contract by receiving high scores throughout the proposal evaluation and presentation process with its industry-leading data center operation know-how and advanced system capabilities.

In particular, SNI conducted an on-site tour of the company’s first private safety experience training center, the ‘TL (Technology & Learning) Center’, and the large data center in Gasan that it is currently operating and managing, for DCI Data Centers Australia officials. At the event, SNI showcased its expertise and competitiveness in data center management based on its overwhelming No. 1 capability in terms of the number of data centers managed in Korea, and drew high trust and positive evaluations from DCI officials.

Gasan DCI Data Center is a large data center currently under construction in the Gasan Digital National Industrial Complex (G Valley) in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. It is expected to be a key IT hub in the metropolitan area that will respond to the needs of domestic and international IT companies and cloud service providers by possessing industry-leading infrastructure such as high-performance computing, advanced security, and eco-friendly design.

DCI Data Centers, which is jointly developing the Daerim and Gasan DCI data centers, is a global data center infrastructure supplier and a wholly owned subsidiary of global asset management company Brookfield. Based on its experience developing and operating large data centers with a scale of over 130MW in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand, it has recently entered the domestic data center development business and is strengthening its position in the Korean market.

In the future, SNI will regularly conduct expert analysis on the key operating indicators and data of the Gasan DCI data center, link and accumulate data from multiple data centers in operation, and use this as the basis for establishing strategies to improve the efficiency and sophistication of data center management.

SNI is recognized for its differentiated competitiveness in all areas of data center management, and stands out in energy savings, system stability enhancement, and professional human resource development. These strengths are based on the development of its own solutions such as the Integrated Operation Center (IOC) and the Building Facility Management System (atG), leading to an operating system that proactively responds to various digital disaster risks such as fire, power outage, and intrusion 24 hours a day.

Currently, SNI is responsible for the maintenance of major domestic and international data centers, including LG CNS Busan Cloud Data Center, Microsoft Busan Data Center, and Kakao Ansan Erica Data Center, and is playing a practical role in improving the safety and efficiency of data center operations for various clients.

Hyungwon Jun, CEO of SNI, said, “Being selected as the operator of the Gasan DCI data center is another recognition of the data center operation management capabilities and cutting-edge technologies that SNI has accumulated over a long period of time.” He added, “We plan to continue developing industry-leading data center operation models and cutting-edge space management solutions to contribute to the sustainable growth of the data center industry and the advancement of digital infrastructure.”

Meanwhile, SNI is a PropTech-based comprehensive real estate management company with experience in managing over 500 buildings and 21,000 stores, including major buildings of LG Group affiliates.
