Gowid and Brownback Form Strategic Partnership

B2B financial solutions company Gowid and coffee tech startup Brownback have signed a strategic partnership for a joint project on ‘next-generation office solutions.’

This agreement is to jointly plan and operate an integrated B2B service that will innovate the entire office environment by combining Gowid’s financial and operational optimization solutions with Brownback’s office coffee subscription service ‘Bliss’ operational capabilities. The two companies plan to focus on their respective core competencies while also focusing on providing customers with a convenient and high-quality office experience.

Since its establishment in 2015, Brownback has been researching coffee beans that suit the tastes of Koreans based on over 700,000 coffee bean orders and production data, and is providing the 'Bliss' subscription service to approximately 3,000 corporate customers nationwide. 'Bliss' has recorded a 200% growth rate and a 99% customer retention rate every six months.

This partnership is being promoted as a joint business model that jointly plans and operates new office solutions and shares profits. Gowid will strengthen customer accessibility and distribution by utilizing its wide customer base and payment infrastructure, and Brownbag will be in charge of customized coffee beans and machine suggestions, installation, management, and aftercare. Through this, customers can expect the effects of improved welfare, operational convenience, and cost reduction.

Brownbag plans to launch its next-generation coffee machine, Aware, based on AI and cloud, in the second half of this year. This product is the world's first AI coffee machine that supports remote management and customized coffee extraction using AI and IoT technologies.

Gowid also plans to design a financial support package for the introduction and operation of 'Aware' to reduce the initial burden on companies and support the creation of a sustainable environment.

Kim Hang-ki, CEO of Gowid, said, “Through this collaboration that provides employee welfare solutions starting with coffee, we will help our clients focus on the essence of their business.”

Brownback CEO Son Jong-su said, “Through this partnership, we will quickly introduce the next-generation coffee tech solution ‘Aware’ to the market and bring forward a future where technology innovates the coffee experience.”
