Metabuild (CEO Cho Poong-yeon), an AI-linked specialized company, announced on the 20th that it was finally selected as the implementing agency for the project 'Development and verification of AI-based public welfare guidance solution' in the '2025 Public AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) Project' support project contest hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
This project, valued at a total of 3 billion won, will be implemented over two years, ending in 2026. It aims to develop a solution that applies AI to the entire welfare administration cycle, from welfare benefit application to post-aid management. The project will be piloted in large-scale, metropolitan, medium-sized, and small-scale local governments across the country.
This project is a representative public AX project that introduces generative artificial intelligence to the public administration sector, and aims to innovate welfare services that citizens can experience by utilizing the latest AI technologies such as LLM (Large-Scale Language Model), RAGOps, Agent/MCP (Model Context Protocol), OCR, and Document AI.
The project will focus on building AI welfare administration data, designing services, and establishing infrastructure in the first year (2025), and conducting verification based on approximately 1.2 million actual administrative data in the second year (2026).
Six consortiums, including major domestic AI companies, participated in the competition for this project, and Metabuild was ultimately selected in recognition of its full-stack AI technology capabilities, track record of executing various large-scale public projects, and expertise in data linkage middleware.
Metabuild plans to demonstrate its AI-integrated platform, "LLaMON AX," which automatically analyzes welfare benefit applications, recommends customized welfare services, supports administrative tasks, and provides integrated search functionality. "LLaMON AX" integrates LLM, Advanced RAG-based search, Document AI, task-specific intelligent agents, and an MCP hub for external system integration.
Metabuild AI Chief Executive Officer Jeon Seong-bae stated, “This project is a demonstration project aimed at applying AI technology to real-world administration,” and added, “We plan to expand to other fields such as health, labor, and energy in the future through the transition to AX in the welfare administration field.”
