Dreamer’s Attic, the startup behind outsourcing platform CastingN, has landed 800 million won (USD $526k) in investment from K Cube Ventures, Plantree Partners and the Seoul Business Agency (SBA).

CastingN is an outsourcing platform that connects companies to other specialist firms. The service is mainly used by small to medium sized businesses that require things like marketing, design and recruiting, but find it difficult to approach companies or lack negotiation power. There are currently over 1,300 companies registered with the platform.

The website offers a place for safe and transparent transactions to take place by connecting companies based on ratings that measure competency of the firm, rather than focusing on ‘who knows who’. Once companies specify what type of outsourcing work they want, CastingN links them with the best firms to meet these needs. It also reduces the risk of deals that can go wrong by offering support in setting the cost of services.

Using this latest investment, CastingN says that it plans to launch a useful B2B program for workers by developing job content and carrying out offline work training.

“CastingN is a platform that solves the inconvenience of dealing with outsourcing contracts in an industry which has more than 100 trillion won in transactions per year,” says Deamer’s Attic CEO Yong Seong-nam. “We will do our best to offer the transparent and reliable information that is needed when connecting companies with one another.”

K Cube Ventures partner Shina Chung also commented on the investment, “We will focus on retaining the ability to cover both outsourcing requests from companies and firms themselves, and we view CastingN as a solution that will easily attract new customers,” says Chung. “We look forward to CastingN establishing itself as a leader in the industry, while further pushing innovation for transactions between companies.”
