Toss Lab, developer of messaging app Jandi, has successfully raised 2 billion won in extra Series A capital from Hong Kong based VC firm Ascent Capital and Ticket Monster’s CEO, Daniel Shin.

Jandi is a cloud-based messaging and collaboration platform aimed at workplaces that lets users manage projects and communication more effectively. It comes with everything you’d expect from such a platform including integration with other popular platforms like Trello, Google drive and Github. The free version offers unlimited team members and up to 5GB storage per team.

Launched almost two years ago, Jandi has been used by over 80,000 companies and teams around the world. The platform has proved particular popular in parts of Asia, including Vietnam and China, as well as Taiwan, where Toss Lab also has a local office.

“Recently we’ve been getting an increase in requests from mid to large-sized companies about adopting Jandi,” said Matt Kim, Co-CEO of Toss Lab. “We plan to further grow our user base by creating a cloud-based model that meets the needs of these businesses.”

Toss Lab says that the latest investment will be used to hire new staff for business expansion and product development, and to develop an enterprise model for larger businesses.
