Edutech startup LogiBrothers has received funding for its learn-to-code platform Logicong from educational content provider Chunjae Education. It follows recent seed funding from The Ventures and private angel investors in June this year.

LogiBrothers says that the investment means it will be able to make use of Chunjae’s system and high-quality educational content. Chunjae has been a leader in the elementary and middle school market for some time now and LogiBrothers plans to explore new business opportunities in the elearning and textbook areas of the industry.

Chunjae also has plans and intends to use LogiBrothers’ expertise and technology to turn it into a leading company in software education for kids. To make this happen, Chunjae will provide joint marketing and promotion to help growth.

Logicong is an adaptive coding education platform that helps students develop convergent thinking through computing. It provides online and offline learning for elementary and junior high school students who are new to software, and provides a ‘comprehensive and creative’ education curriculum that can be easily applied at any educational institution.

Logicong uses Google’s Blocky, a visual language certified by MIT that helps teach coding concepts. Kids can learn coding as if they were playing a game with missions and animations to make things interesting.

“LogiBrothers focuses more on cultivating students’ thought process rather than superficial coding education,” said a spokesperson for Chunjae Education. “It was because of this and the company’s development of code-learning tools and curriculum that we decided to invest in the company.”

LogiBrothers was founded in 2016 by CEO Albert No who is also the cofounder of Bridge Company, the startup behind free mobile calling app BridgeCall which has received over 3 million downloads.

No says he looks forward to improving its qualitative education content through the investment. “We will establish ourselves as a leading company in the industry and create new practical business opportunities together with Chunjae Education in the code learning market,” says No.

LogiBrothers tells us that it has a mobile version in the pipeline in addition to the current web-based platform. They will also hire additional staff with the goal of expanding its content, including partnerships with educational organizations.
