Edutech company Classting has launched Classting Learning, an online learning platform that lets teachers share resources and monitor students’ progress and achievements in real time.

The new platform can be used in both a browser or from mobile devices, and was released following a month of beta testing and making improvements based on user feedback. Over 8000 different series from leading educational content providers in Korea and abroad are available through via Classting Learning. Teachers are also free to share their own content that they’ve developed themselves too.

Reports by students can be viewed according to class or subject, and teachers can check statistics of learning outcomes and achievements to help plan additional lessons. Detailed information about scores can also be accessed, including the distribution of correct and incorrect answers, and a new semi-automatic scoring system for written answers is also being developed.

As for parents, they can also monitor their child’s progress and learning through the service.

“Currently, there is growing need for efficient learning management among many teachers and students,” says Dave Cho, CEO of Classting. “In order for students to be self-directed and learn effectively, access should be easy and at an individual level. A better analysis and management system is also needed for educators to teach all students with care. Classting Learning will be a useful tool for both students and teachers to improve the efficiency and immersion of learning management.”

Earlier in the year, we introduced Classting’s education communication platform that connects teachers, students and parents. Since the launch of the initial beta version in 2012, the service has grown to 4 million users, with 51% of elementary school teachers and 14,500 schools using the app.
