HelloGram brings new dimension to advertising with holographic displays

Korean startup HelloGram has released a new holographic display that gives ads a whole new dimension — literally. The company operates as a one stop solution for creating holographic displays and producing content that can be played on them.

HelloGram’s new display catches the eye of consumers by displaying products in 3D, while mapping information and videos on to them. With it’s own specialist Chroma team, the startup also offers hologram content produced in a Chroma studio.

HelloGram displays use a floating technique which produces an optical illusion, and can be viewed from the left, right and front sides. They come in 24, 32 and 43 inch sizes and are easy to set up and take apart if you want to move them around.

While the technology is still new, there’s no doubt that such advertising will prove effective consumers compared to traditional methods. While showcasing the technology at an exhibition in May, 98% of visitors looked at the display in a six hour period. Of these, 88% stopped and watched for more than 25 seconds.

Since launching three weeks ago, HelloGram says it has already signed a contract for 30 devices with an AR solutions company and will also begin a rental service for the displays.
