Pinkfong to launch full-scale global license business in North America and South-East Asia

Smart Study accelerates global license business utilizing Pinkfong IP.

Smart Study aims to broaden its license business utilizing Pinkfong characters in different areas including toys, clothing, accessories and etc.  Last year, the company presented Baby Shark toys, a collaborated work with a global toy company  WowWee. This year the company is expected to launch licensed products with other global toy companies including WowWee, Hasbro, Cardinal and Spin Master. Smart Study has secured about 2,000 product to announce domestically and internationally and is planning to present other product lineups in the future. These products will be available in the US starting from this summer, at local supermarkets, Amazon and on other platforms. 

Following the launch of Pinkfong VOD service in the South-East Asia on a VOD service OnDemand in 2017, Smart Study broadened its international business to Singapore and Malaysia by launching Pinkfong and Baby Shark Musical. Pinkfong soundbooks  and others were introduced to Asiabooks in Thailand as well. As a consequence, the number of license associates in the South-East Asia has increased from 3 in 2017 to 30 as of now. 

Mr. Kim Min-Seok, Representative of Smart Study, stated that “the main objective of this year is to boost the brand business value  by levering the success of Pinkfong”, adding that “this year will let us diversify our revenue model by  expanding TV animations and offline series while broadening character license domestically and internationally”.
