On 3 January, This is Engineering announced its grand plan to present a new product “SHIFT RED”, Flying Car, and new robotics technology at CES 2019 which will be held on 8 January in Las Vegas, US.

At the event, the company will set up its own large booth in which “SHIFT Experience Zone” for exploring and experiencing the new drone “SHIFT” and its controller, and “TIE Laboratory Zone” for presenting the future vision of This is Engineering will be run.  In TIE Laboratory Zone, visitors can experience PAV (Personal Aero Vehicle, Flying Car) which is under research and development, as well as interactive video contents using this technology.

With outstanding stability and portability, the new drone “SHIFT” to be presented at CES 2019 realizes recording FHD video without camera shake, real-time video transmission and reception, automatic taking off and landing, and self-flying, in small size as big as palm of hand.

Especially the new drone has been improved from the two-handed controller which is the biggest drawback of the previous drone. The new controlling method recognizing the movement of thumb of one hand is a new technology which This is Engineering developed and holds a patent for, and it is getting positive appraisals for the improvement that realizes more intuitive, easy and free-flying compared to the previous drone.

Chief Executive of This is Engineering Yujung Hong mentioned, “We are very glad to present the ‘perfect small’ drone to the global market through research and development which encompassed three key elements: performance, design, and price.” She added, “For people who hesitate to buy a drone because they are too expensive or difficult to control, we would like SHIFT to establish itself as an easy, intuitive, and reasonably priced drone brand.”
