WeWork to open the second branch office in Busan for the third term

Following the opening ceremony of WeWork Seomyeon on April 9, WeWork announced its plan to open the second branch office”WeWork BIFC” in Busan for the third term.

Matthew Shampine, Korea General Manager of WeWork, said, “Under the MOU signed in November last year between Busan and WeWork, we will continue our contributions to recruitment of the best talent in the region and high-quality job creations. Also, though the global community, we will help promoting and fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the startups and the business community in Busan.

In the same vein, WeWork BIFC to be opened in Busan for the third term is an integral part of WeWork’s contributions to sustainable development in Busan. WeWork BIFC will be located in Busan International Finance Center which is a 49 story complex building, and is expected to accommodate more than 700 members. The new branch office is WeWork’s first time signing an operating contract in Korea.

Following the opening of WeWork BIFC, the scale of WeWork will be expanded to be able to accommodate 26 thousand people in Korea. The Company is also expecting that the new branch office will create a synergy effect with newly opened WeWork Seomyeon by forming a community. General Manager Matthew Shampine said, “Not simply expanding our business to busan, we will strengthen our network and community in Busan, and contribute to the activation of the Busan community by promoting job creations and global business opportunities.”
